I tried using the drivers in the link provided and I followed the recomended steps listed but the printer will not communicate with the computer.
To do that. we went to the services stopped the spooler, waited 10 sec. then we started it again. After waiting a min. or so (to make sure the spooler woudl be fully running), we added manually the driver for a TCP/IP port, we entered the statically assigned IP port for the plotter and once the plotter was present in the Devices and Printers, we selected it and were able to print a test page.

This procedure is recommended for system administrators. I’m reopening this 500sp because today I had a problem with this plotter in windows 10 64 and I found the solution, both for the driver installation and for Autocad to detect the plotter correctly, because with other HP drivers installed the plotter could print certain types of files such as PDF or JPG, but could not print from AutoCad.

Been reading a lot of these posts and I suspect that a possible reason can be my firmware update from A03.07 to latest for both plotter and formatter. Is there a way to downgrade the firmware?
